As you know 2012 was our first year in business. It was a year about learning the ropes and figuring out how to do things properly and most importantly creating a great foundation for our committment to great prices and great customer service.
2013 is all about refining our processes, growing the company and aligning ourselves with partners that share the same visions as we do.
Last year, we found a really amazing team based in Toronto called Imaginism Studios. Founded by Bobby Chiu, Imaginism Studios, a creative studios does some really amazing work on major feature films for Disney, Warner Bros., Dreamworks, Sony, Universal and is best known for designing creatures for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.
Imaginism also runs the website Schoolism.com
Schoolism is an online school that teaches you illustration and design from the arguably the BEST illustrators in the industry.
I'm talking about illustrators like Daniel Arriaga and Alex Woo from Pixar Studios and of course Bobby Chiu of Imaginism.
Bobby told me that he's putting on a LIVE workshop where he's actually flying a couple of artists into town!
Sponsored by Autodesk, Schoolism Live Workshop is going to be featuring Scott Robertson and Nathan Fowkes.
Scott Robertson has previously worked on projects for feature film Minority report, Rockstar Games, Mattel and Nike.
Nathan Fowkes is a veteran entertainment industry artist who's resume includes major feature films from Dreamworks such as How to Train Your Dragon, Puss n Boots and more!
We just thought it would be cool to partner with our friends at Schoolism to offer you $15 bucks off their upcoming Live Workshop in Toronto.
The cost of the workshop is normally $100 dollars each or $185 for both.
If you use the promo code 'MINDZAI2013' on their website you'll get $15 bucks off!
You can sign up and find out more information about the workshop here.
When:
May 11 / 12, 2013

We think it's essential for artists to learn from veterans in the business. Super talented artists who can give valuable insight into how to perfect your techniques and give you live feedback. If you think this could be good for you then take advantage of the promo code.
Stay creative,
Chris
